Managing Partner and President
Chris Soto is the driving force and guiding hand behind CTC Events. He’s a proven leader specializing in strategic planning, theme development, branding, event logistics, productions and overall client satisfaction. Chris’ infectious enthusiasm brings a positive, can-do approach to all projects. He lights up during creative brainstorming and thrives on the challenge of transforming client’s concepts into successful conclusions.
With over 20 years in the hospitality industry – and career growth from Hotel Sales Director, to Food & Beverage Director, to General Manager of a #1 occupancy performing Marriott – his passion for creating unique and memorable experiences ultimately led to the launching of CTC Events along with co-founding partner Matthew Brown. Chris and Matthew’s combined strengths, experiences and passion to succeed have made CTC Events the success it is today, with more than 30,000 attendees at over 100 produced events.
Chris holds a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from East Stroudsburg University.

Matthew Brown has built a sterling reputation on trust, consistently delivering results beyond expectations for his corporate and pharmaceutical clients, no matter the scale or the complexity of the event. Matthew’s tried, tested and deeply rooted logistical skills, coupled with his results-oriented nature, help direct a client’s raw concept into a smoothly coordinated masterpiece.
Matthew’s roots run deep in hospitality, with diverse experiences in hotels, which began as a doorman at a large convention hotel followed by banquets, front office, sales and then convention services, which sparked his passion for the events and productions. As an event planner, Matthew has produced hundreds of high-end events throughout the US, Latin America, Caribbean, and Europe. His talents and creativity have earned him recognition, including nominations for awards from Special Events magazine. In 2008, Matt launched CTC Events along with his partner Chris Soto, and together they have been successfully Motivating, Educating, and Celebrating audiences worldwide.
Matthew holds a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from East Stroudsburg University and is a Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) & Certified Meeting Planner (CMP).
